Meet Tom Gartshore, RHAP, BC-HIS

About

Tom Gartshore is a Registered Hearing Aid Practitioner and the founder of Hi Fidelity Hearing Clinic. He earned his diploma with distinction from MacEwan University in 2016 and has spent nearly a decade helping people throughout Edmonton and rural Alberta hear better.

Tom began his career in 2016 at a franchised hearing clinic before joining Living Sounds Hearing Centre in 2017, then the largest independent hearing clinic in Alberta. It was at Living Sounds that he built the foundation of his approach to care, and where he came to believe that good hearing care means treating the whole person, not simply fitting a hearing aid. In 2026, he founded Hi Fidelity Hearing Clinic to deliver the personalized, thorough care he believes every client deserves.

He is registered with the College of Hearing Aid Practitioners of Alberta (CHAPA) and is board certified in hearing instrument sciences (BC-HIS). Tom has also served on the CHAPA council as a member-at-large for the past five years, contributing to the standards that guide the profession across the province.

Tom’s clinical expertise includes comprehensive hearing assessments and physician reporting, hearing aid selection and fitting using real ear measurement, and wax removal. He is committed to clinical best practice at every step, because a hearing aid only delivers its full value when it is properly fit and verified.

In his personal time, Tom enjoys traveling with his wife Julie and is an avid snowboarder. He and Julie have often combined these passions, skiing and snowboarding in places like Japan, Chile, Switzerland, and Austria, although he always enjoys returning to the local Rocky Mountain resorts that Alberta has to offer.
